With hundreds of thousands of titles to choose from, finding books to fit the needs of your patrons can be quite a challenge. Based on requests from our customers, ProQuest has made it easier than ever to find the needed titles via our new Curated Topic Lists in Ebook Central and OASIS.

“By offering these lists, ProQuest does the legwork that many librarians can benefit from,” said Leigh Wright, Senior Collections Librarian at ProQuest. “And we love to get topic requests from our customers.”

Leigh and other librarians at ProQuest do the research, digging through thousands of ebooks, print books and streaming videos to find 50-100 high quality titles on each topic. These lists are added into Ebook Central and OASIS monthly. Librarians simply run the quick search and follow their normal workflow to select and order any number of titles from the lists.

“Curated Topic lists on Ebook Central include up to 50 ebooks from a variety of publishers with availability in multiple licensing and buying models – and electronic, print and streaming video titles from a variety of publishers and platforms on OASIS,” said Leigh.

The latest Curated Topic lists include LGBT issues and migration and immigration, with “coming soon” lists on environmental issues, data science/artificial intelligence, women in STEM, Brexit and many more.
